This article takes the hydraulic system of the lifting circuit of the HAGGLUNDS G4024 rotary cargo crane as the research object, and the system functions are introduced below. When the control handle is in the middle position, the diagonal variable displacement pumps 11H and 1112 operate in the middle position, and the motor control valves 1141-1 (in the right position) bypass the oil cylinder. The oil motor is braked by the normally closed brake, and the lifting system does not work. If the control lever is pushed to the right, the lifting system will be in a heavy load and low speed condition. At this point, the solenoid coil b of control valve 1221 is energized, and its port B supplies oil. Motor control valves 1141-1 switch from the unloading state shown in the diagram to the middle position, and the oil motor operates at full displacement (low speed, high torque). If the control lever is pushed to the left, the lifting system is in an unloaded high-speed condition.

At this point, the solenoid coil a of control valve 1221 is energized, causing oil supply to ports A and B simultaneously. As a result, motor control valves 1141-1 are pushed to the leftmost position, and the oil motor operates at only half the displacement, doubling the motor’s operating speed. In theory, the lifting capacity is reduced to half of the original maximum lifting capacity (in reality, due to the influence of friction, it is only about 40% of the original). If the weight of the lifted cargo is already overloaded for high-speed operation, pressure switch 1311 will change control valve 1221 to coil b to energize, causing motor control valves 1141-1 to switch to the low-speed position (middle position). Regardless of whether the handle is on the high-speed or low-speed side, as long as the handle is moved forward or backward, control valve 1226 is energized, causing the oil pump to change its direction and displacement from 1111-8, 1112-8, and 1112-9, thereby achieving corresponding descent and ascent. The oil pumps 11n and 1112 are electro-hydraulic proportional pumps, and their flow rate (i.e. the speed of the cargo) is proportional to the offset of the control handle. (l) Safety valves 1111 (1112) -2, 3 and brake relief valves 1141-2.1 and 2.2. If the pressure in the circuit exceeds the limit value or there is hydraulic impact in the circuit, it will be released by these valves; (2) Pressure switch 1311 (overload valve). When the circuit is overloaded during high-speed operation, pressure switch 1311 will switch the device to a low-speed operating state; When the circuit is operated at low speed, overload will stop the operation of the pump motor; (3) Pressure switch 1381. If the makeup pressure of the circuit is insufficient, the pump pressure switch will stop the operation of the pump motor to ensure safety.
